Boab Caravan Park – Katherine – Northern Territory

Boab Caravan Park is in Katherine South and is attached to a service station. It was recommended by Kaye and Peter who we meet at Timber Creek, our first stop over near the WA/NT border.

We missed the park at first as you have to drive through the petrol station.

Once we filled up with fuel I booked us in. WikiCamps reviews say it’s one of the smaller parks in Katherine and it is.

However the parking bays are actually a good size. I asked for a large one as we didn’t want to unhook. This was just a one night stop.

The station sells hot food and has a long isle of grocery products if you need some essentials.

As I say, this is a smaller park but it is clean and tidy. Sprinklers were on keeping the grass nice and green.

Not to many vans were here and although it is surrounded by houses it was quiet.

We headed to the pool which was at bath temperature but was still nice under the shade.

The park has electric BBQ’s, fridge and seating which is central to all sites. This is attached to the laundry, showers and toilets.

We bumped in to our old neighbours from Timber Creek Roadhouse and caught up for Happy Hour. What a great night!
